Most guys are left in the dark when it comes to skincare, until they start seeing the obvious signs of aging appear on their face. This is why we put together this guide to help men out there get on the skincare train sooner than later.
Whether you have “sensitive skin” or not, at Visual Chemistry Skin we believe it’s important to use products that are gentle on your skin to avoid adverse reactions. Gentle skin products use natural ingredients, are cruelty free, contain no sulfates, parabens, or phosphates and are environmentally friendly. When using Visual Chemistry Skin you can rest assured that what you are putting on your skin is actually good for you!
Keep Things Simple
If you value efficiency and simplicity over a complex skincare routine, you’ve found the right place!
We know you don’t want to spend a whole lot of time taking on a new skincare routine. You want to get in the bathroom and get out! When starting a skincare routine, it’s important to keep things easy and straightforward.
The process can be broken down into three simple steps to follow in the morning and at night.
STEP 1: CLEANSE
You want to cleanse once in the morning and once at night. By cleansing your skin, you’ll have a clean slate to start with. You can add other products to your skin once cleansed.
Our Full Circle Oil Cleanser is formulated with 10 naturally derived oils that work together to deeply cleanse and maintain moisture. While reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, this oil will leave your skin plump, radiant, and incredibly renewed.

STEP 2: PROTECT
As an active individual, you definitely take care of your body, but what about your face? Considering that your face is exposed to many more pollutants, it makes perfect sense to begin “supplementing” your skin.
The Citrus Stem Cells in our Vitamin C Serum work at a cellular level to help protect against harmful free radicals, UV rays and everyday pollutants. This product will preserve the appearance of young and vibrant-looking skin.

STEP 3: MOISTURIZE
Since your skin needs different treatment during the day than it does at night, it’s recommended to use a different moisturizing product for the day’s activities (to help support your skin and keep it safe against sun damage), and another cream product to help your skin repair overnight.
Our Resilience Day Cream is infused with aloe, Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamins E, C, and B, to create a powerful complex that locks in moisture. You will instantly see powerful results like improved skin elasticity, a more supple look, and smooth nourished skin. https://bit.ly/35KiCNm
Our Resilience Night Cream is a lightweight smoothing cream that visibly rejuvenates texture, feeds the skin with an abundance of nutrients, and regenerates skin from stress, depletion, dehydration, exposure to pollutants, and life outdoors. https://bit.ly/3iks66N
The area around your eyes is a lot more sensitive than the rest of your face, so we recommend using a separate eye cream around your eyes. Be gentle and careful not to stretch the skin around the eyes when applying your eye cream.
Our eyes are sensitive creatures, and they deserve the utmost care! Visual Chemistry Skin's Restorative Eye Cream decreases the appearance of eye fatigue, puffiness and dark circles. This formula contains caffeine to awaken and revitalize the skin around the eyes to improve your skin’s youthful suppleness. https://bit.ly/38OuLCE
Importance of Exfoliation
Exfoliating removes dead skin cells and allows other products to function correctly. If you don’t exfoliate weekly, you’re setting yourself up for excess oil and acne breakouts.
Make things easy on yourself and build a weekly time for exfoliation into your schedule (same day, same time). Don’t miss this important weekly step.
A face scrub is a good addition to any skincare routine. Instantly rejuvenate with our clean and green Exfoliating Face Scrub. Made from a blend of nourishing vitamins and fruit extracts, this scrub nourishes your skin for a silky feel, improves the appearance of stressed and dull skin, and helps reduce stubborn acne breakouts. https://bit.ly/2XJAPpQ
When using a physical exfoliant, make sure to scrub gently so you don’t rough-up your skin too much. You’d be surprised how little you need to scrub in order to exfoliate properly.
Be careful of products that contain plastic microbeads which are not only overly abrasive, but also bad for the environment!

EATING CLEAN & DRINKING PLENTY
Skincare isn’t entirely about the products you purchase. It’s just as important to be mindful of the food and water you’re putting into your body. As they say, “you are what you eat.”
If you’re eating and drinking crap all the time, it’s going to show up on your skin.
Really focus on staying hydrated with plenty of water. Water flushes toxins from the body, hydrates your cells, keeps joints in healthy working condition, and helps your brain stay focused. Dehydration leaves your skin looking dry, dull and wrinkled.
OBVIOUS YET EASILY OVERLOOKED
Often, we search for a product to cure our skin problems without looking at obvious things effecting our skin’s overall hygiene. Wash your towels and pillow cases often! Your face touches your pillow for 6-8 hours per night… So, make sure that thing is clean!!
It’s important to keep your towels clean because they touch your skin between showering/cleansing and putting on your other products. If you’re patting dry with a dirty towel, that grime can get trapped on your skin. Then you add more products over top and BOOM, breakouts.
These things are easy to overlook, but obviously effect the overall health of your skin.
After seeing how easy it can be to take care of your skin, we hope you’re excited to start participating in a skincare routine.
Let us know when your girlfriend starts stealing your skincare products, she’ll know they’re good.
